The references and your general sense of humor are hilarious, the amount of paths is considerable, and after four games of going it alone, it's genuinely heartwarming to see Henry get the chance to team up with somebody who actually cares about him.

I hope Ellie shows up in the next one as his partner, too.

PuffballsUnited responds:

Thanks for the kind words!

This is such an accurate representation of 3D collectathons in their golden age, and I love it. The personality is great, and so is the layout of the world, with all of its secrets to find.

I'd absolutely love to see a full game like this from you guys, I think you'd rock it.

I'm working on my own 3D platformer prototype at the moment, trying to give it the right feeling that the N64 games had! I'll release news about it when I have something playable.

This would be fun, but the spawn rate kills it. Even the first easy mission, where I need 2 crabs, is impossible, because literally zero crabs spawn. That's completely unfair, and poor design.

raptor0555 responds:

Good point, but the game is not easy because you think there are only 7 levels?, You have to try several times to see if you find what you want, think in real life, you will go to find a fish in specific and find the first?

These are incredibly adorable, and the recipes add longevity that the other entries lack. Love it, and await the next one.

waffrus responds:

Glad you enjoyed it! <:

A lot of fun, and pretty creative too, but the lack of checkpoints absolutely kills it.

cobcris responds:

yeah, it's a bit difficult to beat it.
thanks for the review mate :)

Awesome concept, really cool story and nice voice acting... ends too abruptly. A longer game with this sort of mind screw gameplay would be something to behold.

PrettyMuchBryce responds:

Thanks for the feedback.

Another adventure, huh? I'd be up for that too... that was awesome. Each level was not only fresh, but well done, and the music really brought it all together to make for an emotional package coupled with the lovers' struggles.

SeethingSwarm responds:

Awesome! I'm really glad you like the game and thanks for the 5 stars! :)
Oh, and sorry for the late response :P

That was really cool looking, funny and fun. It could work as an official Pico sequel even. Next time though, finish your game. It's broken and nobody likes that.

The ledge grabbing just flat out doesn't work as described. It's not a clever design choice or anything, it's just broken.

Doooomguy responds:

It does work! The reason it's difficult to grab ledges at the beginning of the game was because I wanted it to start off by having you use a little skill to use your freerunning ability, instead of just mindlessly tapping space, and then as you progress further and unlock more powers, ledge-grabbing becomes easier.

I have tested the game numerous times, and it has worked perfectly - you just have to get the timing right!

I really liked this. It was decently challenging, and felt vaguely like a 2D Banjo Kazooie sort of game. The secrets were hidden well, but fairly enough for me to get all of them.

My only real complaints are that there should have been at least one checkpoint in some of the longer levels, and that there wasn't enough variety in level themes. I'd love to see a sequel with more varied worlds, and more stars per world.

SirNightOwl responds:

Thanks :) I was really concerned about level design so its good to know the secrets were hidden well! Yeah I couldnt decide whether to do checkpoints or not, will definitely do them next time (might even do them for this game and update next couple of days)

Once again thanks! :D

I like Mayonnaise a lot. And submitting art to Newgrounds. But mostly mayonnaise.
